With this SlimWare Utilities-developed tool, you can rest assured that you always have the latest drivers for your machine. After performing a quick scan of your system, the application can tell you which drivers need to be updated – and it invites you to download and install them.
SlimDrivers can be easily installed on top of Windows XP, Vista, 7, or 8. All you have to do is download a small executable, run it, and then click through the setup wizard. A few clicks later you will be done with the installation and you’ll be ready to start using SlimDrivers. Please note that the setup wizard invites you to install an additional piece of software: AVG Security Toolbar. You can opt out if you don’t want any extras.
Navigating through the interface is done via the buttons that are conveniently placed in the upper right hand side:
Home – presents an overview of your system, tells you if there are any updates available, and allows you to launch the scan process.
Uninstall – view a list of installed drivers and uninstall them if you so desire.
Options – play with a few SlimDrivers settings.
Restore – view a list of drives you can restore.
Backup – make a backup copy of your drivers.
Submit and Support – this button allows you to submit system analysis reports and get support.
Using SlimDrivers is a simple, 3-step process.
Step 1: scan your system to see if there are any outdated, broken, or missing drivers. You can manually launch a scan or you can schedule them to be performed automatically.
Step 2: you will be presented with a list of drivers. Browse through it and see what the application uncovered.
Step 3: download and install the drivers you want. Before that you will be asked to create a system restore point and back up your drivers.
SlimDrivers is a free application. For a bit of extra functionality check out the paid version DriverUpdate, which can download multiple drivers at the same time.
It’s easy to forget about drivers and thus use outdated ones. Use SlimDrivers to make sure you always have the latest drivers.

The installation process is a simple one. SlimDrivers features a good looking and easy to navigate interface. Use the application to scan for and uncover outdated, broken, or missing drivers; use it to uninstall drivers, back them up, and restore them. Scans can be launched manually or they can be scheduled. SlimDrivers is a free application.
